Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0 is hitting the road! Created last year as an alternative to the cancelled Hot Rod Drag Week that gave racers a second chance to roam the lands and hit five different dragstrips in one week, Race Week 2.0 has proven to be popular enough to be more than a one-time affair for creators Matt and June Frost and announcer Adam Dorey. This year the racers will get to roam the dead center of the country, from Mid America Dragway in Geuda Springs, Kansas to the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, as well as Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, Oklahoma and Tulsa Raceway Park. The cars are loaded up, the gear is packed away and the trailers and every bit of save-your-bacon equipment had better be on-board your race car when you leave, or that's the end of your competitive week on the road!
Race Week 2.0 sees several returning faces. Tom McGilton and his monster 3,500 horsepower 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 that has been stomping through RMRW races for years now is on the property, as is Cleetus McFarland's twin Corvette terrors, LeRoy and Ruby. Alex Taylor is on the list with her new '55 Chevrolet, Jason Pickett's evil Chevrolet Caprice hearse is present, and Royce Payton's sledgehammer of a Mustang is present, screw blower and all. We will be bringing you more photos and videos all week long, so be sure to check MotorLife for more RMRW 2.0 coverage!
